Cartridge

At 1K2K we provide a comprehensive range of side by side two component dual and Co-axial Mixpac cartridges for filling and packaging of two component adhesives and sealants for industrial application. Our Mixpac cartridges are available in 10ml and 25ml syringe type models and 50ml, 75ml, 200ml and 400ml gun grade cartridges. Material of construction are PP, PA or PBT depending on adhesive or sealant type to be filled. As a rule of thumb an Epoxy, PU or Silicone requires PP Cartridge while methacrylate resins that have highly volatile monomers require PA or PBT Cartridge.

Our long standing distribution partnership with medmix® (formerly Sulzer Mixpac®) allows us access to the world’s leading Mixpac® cartridge brand all over India so that our customers can enjoy the genuine Mixpac® quality and reliability.

The medmix Mixpac B-System meets the growing demand in the industrial and trade markets for reliable, safe, easy-to-use application systems for 2-component adhesives and sealants. The B-System is offered in a wide range of ratios, to accommodate the needs of nearly every 2-component material. Cartridges are manufactured from high-quality, chemical-proof plastics. The system also meets the high standards with regard to storage stability, transport safety and precise metering. The medmix Mixpac B-System is the ideal multifunctional solution, offering professional quality in packaging, high precision metering, user-friendliness and easy to use, fatigue-free operation

Mixpac B Type Cartridges have separate outlets for Resin and Hardener components of the adhesive. The separate outlets ensure leak free interface between the mixer and cartridge, safe and clean working and no cross-mixing during and after the application. The twist and lock cap features an inbuilt mechanism that fits in only one way eliminating cross contamination during capping. 25ml B Type Mixpac cartridges come in syringe form with hand operated plungers making them ideal cartridges to pack 5min epoxy for the retail market that do not require manual gun for application.

The medmix Mixpac A-System Cartridge are the first generation of cartridge metering systems in the industry and still widely used around the world. The Mixpac A-System Cartridge type is offered in a wide range of ratios, to accommodate the needs of nearly every 2-component material. Cartridges are manufactured from high-quality, chemical-proof plastics. The system also meets the high standards with regard to storage stability, transport safety and precise metering. The resin and hardener outlet design differentiates A type cartridge from B type ones. In A type cartridges both components are separated by a thin wall.

Mixpac A type cartridges are among the industry’s first metering cartridges that have been fulfilling the packaging and dispensing requirements for decades. Mixpac A Type Cartridges have a common separation wall between Resin and Hardener components and after a job is over they demand careful cleaning before being capped and put away. The caps fit into the cartridge outlet in both sides requiring some care and clean operation on the part of the adhesive user.

The side-by-side B-System cartridge is an ideal solution to meet rigorous demands of a variety of 2-component adhesives. It serves as both primary packaging and as a precise metering system. The standard mixing ratios correspond to most of the standard, 2-component formulations used in industry. The Mixpac B-system dual cartridge is available with different mixing ratios and a wide range of mixers. The cartridges are available in PP and PA6 materials. B Type Cartridge systems have separate outlets for Resin and Hardener components of the adhesive system that ensures leak free interface between the mixer and cartridge, safe and clean working and no cross-mixing. B Type Cartridge also offers rigid construction for precise dosing and accurate application suitable for high-viscosity compounds with long-term stability.

Frequently Asked Questions

PBT or PA cartridges are used for filling Methyl Methacrylate adhesives (MMA) due to their high density and relative impervious behaviour against highly volatile acrylic monomers.

While Polypropylene (PP) cartridges are used for Epoxy, PU and Silicone based adhesives and sealants they cannot be used for filling MMA glues because walls of a PP cartridge allows acrylic monomers to escape through them, thus reducing shelf life of MMA adhesives significantly.

Mixpac 50ml dual cartridges are available in A type and B type. The key differences between these two types are

Mixpac A type Mixpac B type
Mixpac A type cartridges are the first generation of cartridges originally developed to pack 2 part adhesives. The A type cartridge design incorporates a common separation wall at the outlet between the Resin and Hardener. Mixpac B type cartridges are new generation cartridges incorporating improved design to separate Resin and Hardener through separate outlets. This eliminates chances of cross mixing during and after the application process.
